Holiday Now, Pay Later On Daydream Island

by John on November 26, 2012

Just returned to the awesome Whitsundays after 2 weeks in the north and ran smack bang into a headline that is sure to shake up the tourism industry.

Daydream Island is partnering with Ignite, which operates the website My Queensland Holidays, offering “holiday now – pay later” interest free schemes, in a bid to attract a larger market share to Daydream Island.

Sit back and enjoy a tropical interest free holiday on Daydream Island with one year to pay it off.

On first glance this sounds like a wonderful idea. This type of plan certainly pays off for companies such as Harvey Norman and others, selling fridges, TV’s and other household good on interest free loans, so why not the family holiday?

The scheme will be backed by GE Money and the interest free period will be a one year deal. Most people put their holidays on the credit card, so a one year interest free holiday should save many people a lot of money.

The good news is that there will be a lot of Australians who can now come and see The Whitsundays, stay on Daydream Island and experience The Great Barrier Reef. Hope this takes off as everyone deserves a relaxing holiday in paradise, at least once in their lifetime.
