Plenty of parking at Shute Harbour, Whitsundays.

We are often asked if there is car parking facilities at Shute Harbour. The answer is a resounding yes. So to show what it is like we decided to upload an image of what we consider as one of the most beautiful scenes on the planet.

Shute Harbour is the base for the Fantasea fleet, and other tourist vessels, that operate cruises to the fabulous islands that make up the Whitsundays. There are 74 islands in the Whitsundays with the best known being Hamilton Island, Hayman Island and of course Whitsunday Island itself, where the fabulous Whitehaven Beach is located.

This image was taken from the top car park overlooking Shute Harbour. It plainly shows the car park area where day parking is allowed for a fee. There is also secure parking available right at Shute Harbour, which is just a short walk to the jetty.

If you are staying at one of the hotels or caravan parks in either Airlie Beach or Cannonvale, arrange all your cruises with reception or the tour desk. Most cruises come organised with free bus transfers, so no need to worry about leaving the car unattended all day.

There are island cruises and sailing trips that leave from the Abel Point Marina at Cannonvale. There is plenty of parking available at the marina, so once again your worries are catered for.

The Whitsundays is a paradise on earth, one that every tourist to the north should come and see. Airlie Beach is just 15 to 20 minutes off the main highway, with wonderful facilities, accommodation and all types of cruises to those fabulous tropical islands. Call in and see it soon.
