Underwater Shark IPad Wallpaper

by John on June 8, 2010

Changing wallpaper on your IPad allows you to view different themes, it’s kinda like having 100′s of fashion accessories in your wardrobe, every time you go out you wear something different. Well why should you get bored looking at the same old wallpaper when you can have photographs of some fabulous places to choose from. Each time you use your IPad you can use different wallpaper as dream material. Remember Dreams are what keep people going through the day.

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” C.S. Lewis.

Image of shark underwater.

Beneath the man eating shark at Sydney Aquarium.

Now to today’s IPad wallpaper image. We give you an image of a shark taken in the shark walk through tank at the Sydney Aquarium. Sorry for those who at first thought the writer was brave enough to actually swim with these creature. No, give me the safety of barriers and thick glass and I’ll photograph man eating sharks, wild beasts or mother-in-laws.

Sydney Aquarium is a major tourist attraction on the shores of Darling Harbour, just a short walk from the Sydney CBD. Certainly a venue where you must spend at least 3 or more hours to see and enjoy the full range of aquatic creatures, the Sydney Aquarium recently introduced dugong as a major exhibit where, like the shark tank, you can view these amazing creatures from underwater and see them up close as if you were in the water with them.

Travel photographers have a wealth of material they can collect at the aquarium, with hundreds of tanks that are suitable for photography. There are thousands of different species from tropical fish to fresh water varieties, sea turtles to river tortoises, platypus, penguins, dugongs as previously mentioned and of course the starring attractions, the sharks. Visit Sydney Aquarium when your in town, you won’t be disappointed.

This photo really looks like you are underwater with the shark. Fabulous lighting in the shot. I noticed some smudges in the photo around the sharks head. Is this from people touching the glass and making it smudgy? Is smudgy really a word. :)

I like your IPad images. great idea and a great way to show off your travel photography.

Hi Pat.
Glad you like the photo. Yes there were smudges around the sharks head due to hand marks on the shark tank glass. I was going to try to eliminate them during image processing but decided to leave them as is, which shows that it wasn’t taken by a diver.

Cheers
John
