Magnificent Hunter Valley Wineries Tour

Bus trip commences from front of Star City Casino and travels north to the rich Hunter Valley region.

First stop is one where you can take a stroll through the township of Wollombi Village, in aboriginal language meaning the meeting place of the waters. Wollombi is almost a town that time has forgotten, with old buildings and quaint shops. You must see Saint Michaels church, a beautiful sandstone building and The Endeavour Museum, full of local history and housed in the original Wollombi Courthouse.

Reboard the coach for a guided tour of McWilliams Mount Pleasant Estate, nestled in the slopes of the Brokenback Range. The Estate comprises a cellar door, 140-seat function room, gift shop and Elizabeth’s Café.

After a delicious lunch you will have wine tasting at McGuigans Winery, a family winery that has produced quality wines for 4 generations. McGuigan wines have won many prestigious industry awards including the 2002 best Australian shiraz and a major award at the 2005 Food Challenge Awards.

Finally you will visit 25 hectares of spectacular displays at Hunter Valley Gardens. Stroll through the shopping complex, try some taste tempting home made chocolates or sample more superb wines at Tempus Two.
