Taronga Zoo Sydney Free Flight Bird Show
Overlooking
the fabulous Sydney Harbour, waiting for the Sydney Zoo Free Flight
Bird Show to begin is like a dream, with the most fabulous views of
the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge to keep you occupied.
But the wait is not long before an equally thrilling performance begins.
Owls appear from inside hollow logs, a galah steal coins from unsuspecting
audience members, eagles swoop from on high and a kite shows his prowess
in using a rock to smash open an egg, all part of the greater Free Flight
Bird Show.
Performed twice daily, at midday and then again at 3.00 pm, the Free
Flight Bird Show gives zoo visitors a chance to fully appreciate the
beauty of these wonderfully trained birds and the joyous dedication
of their trainers. While the show is on, the expert trainers keep the
audience entertained with interesting facts and involve the audience
where they can, interacting with the birds.
You
will be absolutely amazed to see these fabulous birds soar free over
Sydney Harbour and be positively astounded to see them actually return.
One would imagine that their natural instinct would take over and once
in the air, keep going, yet so well trained are the birds, they always
return to their trainers on command.
Don't miss this wonderful free bird show, which is just one of the
many interactive performances at the Taronga Park Zoo. The free bird
show theater is situated to the right of the Wild Asia (when looking
at Sydney Harbour) with street signs pointing the way.
Pick up a zoo map on entry so you know your way around and make sure
that the Free Flight Bird Show is one you don't miss. Arrive early to
get a great seat and enjoy the fabulous views while you wait for the
show to begin.
