Sydney
Snow Tour Review
Enjoy this 2 day 2 night weekend skiing trip to either Thredbo or Perisher
Valley ski slopes, with accommodation at Jindabyne included.
This is an awesome bus
trip to the snow and leaves Sydney on Friday evening, returning Sunday evening, picking
up at Canberra along the way.
Included in the package is return bus trip from Sydney or Canberra,
accommodation at the Snowy Valley Resort, Jindabyne, ski resort shuttle
transfers, National
Park Fees plus 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner, now that's real value
starting from around $240 per person.
The snow season in Australia is short and the Snowy Mountains, at either
Thredbo or Perisher Valley, are probably the best place to have fun
in the snow, so don't miss this fabulous weekend trip designed to make
the best of the snow at budget prices.
There are also packages for mid week trips and an extended 6 day snow trip.
Personally I regard the NSW snow fields as the best in Australia. Being an older person (64yrs old), these days I enjoy using the slopes between Smiggins and Perisher, not too exhausting nowadays. I also tried snow boarding for the first time a few seasons ago and am totally hooked. My skis are now only used a couple of times a year. I have been going to The Snowy Mountains since 1964 and still love it.
For first time skiers, if you want a great trip to the snow from Sydney, this is the one I would personally recommend. All equipment can be hired on the snowfields and this trip takes care of everything else. Just jump on the bus and enjoy the experience.
If your not real sure about skiing or snowboarding, don't worry, you can still have plenty of fun on the slopes. Probably the best slope to learn on for beginners is Friday Flats at Thredbo. Smiggins at Perisher Valley is also a good beginner area and of course you can just use the tobogganing slope and Tube Town area at Perisher Blue. If you don't have fun in the snow, you haven't tried.
