Jenolan Caves Day Tour Review with Blue Mountains, 3 Sisters and Katoomba Scenic World.

Like to see the famous 3 Sisters rock formations, great mountain scenery and the best limestone caves in Australia? Then the Blue Mountains Jenolan Caves day tour is ideal for you.

You will travel from Sydney into the Blue Mountains west of Sydney and stop at the Katoomba Scenic World where you can take a ride on the steepest rail cable car in Australia, down to the floor of Jamieson Valley or take a ride across the valley on the skyway gondola. Both give fantastic views of the 3 sisters, plus you get panoramic views of Katoomba Falls and the Jamieson Valley.

After enjoying the fabulous views at Scenic World, learning the 2 stories as to how the three sisters were formed and taking many photographs at Katoomba, reboard the bus for the trip through the Megalong Valley to Jenolan Caves. Be prepared for something extra special as Jenolan Caves are the best examples of underground limestone formations in Australia.

Image taken inside Lucas Cave, Jenolan Caves, NSWAs you near the caves you will be absolutely astounded by the natural beauty of the Grand Entrance to Jenolan Caves area and you haven't even gone underground yet. The entrance is a huge natural cavern through the mountain and there is just enough room for the bus driver to squeeze the luxury coach through, with only inches to spare either side. A really spectacular entrance.

Have lunch at the quaint cottage inside the grand entrance and then join the guided tour through the caves to see the most impressive array of stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations built over many thousands of years. Make sure you have your camera ready as there are just so many photo opportunities on this whole trip.

"This is one of those trips that you are sad to finish. I personally rate this tour equal with the Great Ocean Road bus tour as being the best I have ever taken anywhere in the world. The Jenolan Caves are fascinating and beautiful, leaving you with a sense of awe that there is such beauty in nature."
