Harbour Rocks Hotel Sydney
With
views of Sydney Harbour and in the best position to enjoy the vibrant
nightlife and fabulous
markets that make The Rocks district the place to be, guests of
the Harbour Rocks Hotel can be assured that they will have a great time,
in accommodation that meets their needs.
The Rocks area was once a hot potch of seedy characters and rundown
buildings but since 1970, when the government was going to bulldoze
the whole district and start again, the transformation that occured
to save historic buildings has been nothing but amazing.
Citizens and
unions got together and refurbished the Rocks into a tendy place to
live, sweeping away the trash, human and other, turning The Rocks into
a much sought after location.
Some of the oldest buildings from the early colonial days of Sydney
still stand, and are fantastic attractions in themselves. The earliest
building is Cadman
Cottage, built around 1816 and today used as an information centre
by the National Parks and Wildlife Service. You can take a look inside
this very historic building between 10:00am-4:30pm Tuesday to Sundays.
Just ask the staff at the desk at the Harbour Rocks Hotel for directions
to other notable buildings in the area, seeping with history your stay
will be filled with adventure and good times.
