Blue Mountains and Australian Wildlife Day Tour Review
This
bus tour of the Blue Mountains includes a stop at the Featherdale Wildlife
Park to see the kangaroos, koala bears and emus that are native to Australia,
plus other interesting animals such as the wombat and dingo.
After the wildlife stop you travel into the Great
Dividing Range with stops at the Hawkesbury River lookout for some
fabulous panoramic photos and Govetts Leap, where there is a spectacular
cascading waterfall.
Finally you visit Katoomba,
famous for several grand hotels and being the centre of the Blue Mountains
tourist area. Then enjoy the sights and attractions at Blue Mountains Scenic World,
where you can view the awesome 3 Sisters rock formation, see the Katoomba Falls
and take optional rides on the Skyway Gondola, Sceniscender or Scenic
Cableway.
The Blue Mountains 3 Sisters day tour is a very good tour for all those who would like to see the best
sightseeing features of the Blue Mountains while in Sydney. The day tour allows time to take the
optional rides at Katoomba Scenic World and see the majesty of the Jamieson
Valley.
A
suggested short excursion to take while on this tour is travel on the
Skyway gondola ride across the valley for great close ups of the 3 Sisters.
Take the short bush walk to The Cascades, a lovely waterfalls feature
just above the Katoomba Falls proper and view the beautiful Katoomba
waterfall on the return journey on the Skyway Gondola.
Tour departs from front of Star
City Casino and selected Sydney hotels. Prices start around $140
per person. Price includes entry to Featherdale Koala Park. Lunch is optional extra.
All rides
at Scenic World are optional at own expense. Tour departure time is
8.15 am. Return around 5.45 pm.
