Takes about 10 minutes to walk to city centre but steep hill coming back. Laundry was bit overpriced, rooms were very basic and owners were friendly. Cheap price for Queenstown. We find it affordable and okay for our needs which is mainly to flop into bed after a days skiing. We usually stay for a week and have always found the staff friendly. Yes it isn't the top hotel in town but for the price it's good value. We intend to keep using the Melbourne motel for as long as we come down here.
