Jose Paronella had a dream and in 1929 purchased land to build his castle. His dream was to have a grand palace where the people of Cairns would go for relaxation and pleasure. A reception centre like no other in Australia, modeled on the design of a Spanish Castle.

His dream was created and a flourishing park of impeccable beauty was hewn out of the dense bush. Local materials were used and the result was simply amazing. Unfortunately natural disasters stuck many times, floods, fire and cyclones all but destroying the beautiful buildings and garden surrounds. But the beauty remains and you can see the achievements on this grand tour of the Tablelands area.

Depart early morning for an incredible journey in a natural wonderland. See Volcanic crater Lake Barine, the famous Curtain Fig Tree, breathtaking Millaa Millaa Falls, arguably the most striking falls in North Queensland and enjoy a 2 course hot lunch at Mungalli Falls. This is an exciting day in World Heritage Rainforest with the culmination being a guided tour of the ruins at Paronella Park.

Tour operates daily with hotel pickup and return from Cairns, Palm Cove, Kewarra Beach and Trinity Beach only. Prices start around $135.00 with child prices applicable for children aged between 4 - 14 years.

Price includes all National Park entry fees, Lake Barine cruise, morning devonshire tea, plus 2 course lunch.
