Melbourne Grand Hyatt Hotel Review Collins St. Melbourne
Whether you are going shopping, attending theatre productions or sporting venues, the Grand Hyatt is fabulous accommodation, right in the center of Melbourne. It really doesn't get much better than this, with a full range of hotel amenities and services that should please the most discerning guests. Rooms are well equipped and are quite spacious. Beds are very comfortable. Views vary from City view rooms to Yarra River views, which are quite spectacular. Bathrooms are marble tiled, very roomy and have separate bath and showers. There is a well stocked mini bar. At the time of this hotel review, October 2010, there was a note from management stating that all rooms were to be progressively upgraded, which will make the outdated decor much more modern and appealing. As you would expect, everything at the Hyatt is efficient and easy, from check in to check out. The bars and restaurants are superb, with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious menu.
Positioned on Collins and Russell St., the main CBD shops such as Myers and David Jones are only a couple of blocks away. Trams run past the hotel in Collins St, the Parliament train station is two blocks from the hotel and there is a taxi rank in both Russell St. and Collins St. near each entrance. Don't forget the fabulous shopping stores in Collins St. Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, all the major brands are right at the doorstep. Don't hesitate to stay at the Grand Hyatt. It really makes a Melbourne stop over a special time and certainly something to remember.
