Good motel without being flash or anything. Managers are terrific people, like most people in Mackay, who go out of their way to make sure your comfortable. I book in to The Rose whenever I have a week off from the mines for a bit of R&R in Mackay. It's close to town and other places of interest like the races and Far Beach. Would recommend the motel to all.

We stayed for 3 nights and thought the motel was way overpriced. It is just a country motel and they seem to want to charge Sydney prices. Get real guys, your a thousand kilometers from the capital city for gods sake.
