If
you are the type of person who demands something extra in accommodation
when holidaying, the Allegra Resort Hervey Bay is for you. Luxury apartments,
plus a fabulous position opposite the beach, make the Allegra ideal
for short stays or extended visits. You can even arrange discount rates
for semi permanent living.
We visited Hervey Bay last May, which is officially the off season. We chose the Allegra primarily for the position, as we needed to be close to the beach to carry out photography work. We were surprised at the affordable rates on offer at the Allegra when we searched the internet, and ultimately booked a penthouse with roof top spa for less than what we normally pay for lesser accommodation in Sydney.
Firstly the position is ideal. Situated on the Esplanade you are close to restaurants and shops, with fish and chips, pizzas, a general store and many other stores or eateries within an easy stroll. The beach is clean and so beautiful you could stay there forever. You are just 2 kms from the famous Urangan Pier and Whale Bay Marina is just a few hundred metres further on. A walk along the Esplanade in the mornings is not just good for your body, the beauty of the surroundings really refreshes your mind.
The
rooms are pure luxury. Spacious, comfortable with quality furniture
and fittings. These are apartments so there is a washing machine and
dryer, full kitchen, dish washer, everything you would require if you
actually lived in the apartment full time. Remember this is apartment
accommodation, so units are not serviced daily.
At check-in we were greeted enthusiastically, processed efficiently, and assured that anything we required would be supplied if possible. Over the next few days we seemed to be treated like good friends, not clients, and it was actually sad to say good-bye to such nice and friendly management. We used their services to book a tour to Fraser Island, purchase some wine and ask questions about Hervey Bay and surrounds.
But it is the rooms and facilities that are important to anyone considering to book the Allegra. Undercover secure parking, gym, sauna, large heated pool, barbecue area, this is a resort style setup with perhaps the only thing missing, a bar. The personal use roof top spa was so special. Imagine relaxing with a good red under the stars, while being gently massaged by the warm bubbles. Yeah, close to heaven.
The
apartments are simply superb. The Allegra offers one and two bedroom
apartment at fantastic rates. For example a one bedroom apartment is
just $225 per night during whale season, even cheaper during the off.
(Prices can change.) There are swim up apartments that front the large
swimming pool, courtyard apartments with own use spas or our favorite,
the roof top penthouse with superb views and personal, private spa.
If you need to put a little magic back into your love life, the roof
top penthouse is the one for you.
We were really impressed with the Allegra. The comfort, the cleanliness, the position and the price. We would really like to thank the management for their warm hospitality and their staff for such clean rooms. We would recommend the Allegra Hervey Bay to all. It is five star luxury at an affordable price.
