I had never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and booked 4 nights in a Standard Room for the wife's 40th birthday present. After staying at the Grand Hotel, I now am very aware of the difference between a top class hotel and cheaper accommodation places. This was absolutely fantastic and I can only wonder what the top rooms would be like.

Certainly a very good hotel with excellent staff. It is refreshing to find a hotel that treats their guests as important people. A lot of hotels around the world seem to have forgotten that point. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

I wanted to give my review of the Sky City Grand Hotel in Auckland because most reviewers don't say anything about a hotel unless it's something bad, well this hotel is all good. I was absolutely amazed at the high level of professionalism of the staff, the luxury of the rooms and the fabulous facilities. You can even work out in the gym that is in a room large enough for more than one or two guests as most hotels give. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at and will certainly stay there again if ever in Auckland.
