We travel to Uluru in March 2007 by bus. Good trip, nice driver.
We have camel ride but must pay for this extra. Very flat country
not much to see but nice with no houses or people.

Comments:
Everything in the centre of Australia is very expensive but
this trip wasn't too bad for the price. We paid $150 Australian
dollars so that wasn't too bad and it is a fair distance to
travel. We were picked up at Elkes Backpackers in Alice Springs
and dropped of right in the Ayers Rock Resort. I can't get over
how remote this outback is and there is hardly nothing between
Alice Springs and Ayers Rock. If you can't hitch a ride with
somebody then this shuttle bus is the cheapest way to get to
Ayers Rock.

We enjoyed the trip between Alice Springs and Ayers rock but
there is not much to see. It's so flat and desolate and sure
is the desert. If your on a budget this is the cheaper option
with flights costing about double the price of the bus.
Make sure you have an ipod or you could go mad with boredom.
