Here's
your chance to enjoy a hot air balloon flight just before sunrise and
watch the land below come to life. There is no greater thrill than silently
floating through the early morning air and there is no better place
to do it than the desert regions around Alice
Springs.
You will be picked up from your Alice Springs hotel accommodation and taken to the launch site before dawn. Here you can help inflate the balloon and prepare it for the flight and when all is ready climb aboard the basket and enjoy the take off.
There are 2 flights available, a 30 minute ride and a longer 60 minute flight. Both are exhilarating and offer spectacular sights over the desert and across the land to the impressive West MacDonnell Ranges. At the completion of your hot air balloon ride you will be treated to a 4 course gourmet bush breakfast. What a way to end the perfect morning in Alice Springs.
Prices start from around $AUD 275.00 per person with child rates applicable for those between 6 and 15 years. During winter wear warm clothing and it is recommended that you wear sturdy footwear and comfortable clothes that would be suitable for bush walking. I have always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride so took
the opportunity when visiting Alice Springs. It was a wonderful
thrill and really different from what I expected. The only noise
you hear is from the burners and the take off is so much different
than a plane, you just seem to go whoosh and your way up in
the air, like going up in an elevator but with great views.
Loved the flight and the breakfast after. Hot air ballooning
is something I would do again for sure.

We were given the 30 minute flight as a gift from our children
as something to do on our trip to Central Australia. Loved the
whole experience and it is so different from a plane flight.
The views were simply fabulous and the people and pilot that
we flew with were wonderful. Highly recommend this to all.
