Wild Camel in the Australian Outback. Here's a unique way to have a delicious dinner in the Australian outback at Alice Springs, ride a camel to the dining venue and enjoy an evening you will never forget.

Before dinner you will be picked up from your Alice Springs hotel and taken on a one hour camel ride in the dry creek bed of the Todd River to the Frontier Camel Farm. On the camel ride you will pass beautiful red river gum trees and perhaps spot a kangaroo or frilled neck lizard. Watch out for sulfur crested cockatoos and beautiful galahs, you also might see a few wild budgerigars while riding along the river bed.

At the camel farm you will say good-bye to your camel then treated to pre dinner drinks and nibbles of Australian bush tucker. You may like to take a visit to the kangaroo enclosure or browse the camel shop before dinner.

Dinner is comprised of either fresh Barramundi fillets, a fish of succulent taste which is native to northern Australian waters, or juicy rib fillet steaks, delicious. Vegetarians are catered for. Wash this down with beer or wine and enjoy sweets. What a meal.

You will be returned to your Alice Springs accommodation approx. 4 1/2 hours after departure.

Camels are a bit smelly but we enjoyed the ride along the Todd and thought it was unique. The food was delicious, we had the barramundi, yummy. Drinks were plentiful and all up the afternoon was really good fun.
